Dina was born in Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she changed her location in Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. Two of her brothers are Gregory, her older brother and Evan. From the age of nine until 16, she began working in the industry of entertainment via modelling. Her acting career began with The Neighborhood Playhouse, New York. She was a student of the techniques of Sanford Meisner along with Ron Stetson for three years. Sandra Bullock and Michael Douglas were among other actors that received this instruction. Her role was in Beverly Hills 90210, and was forced to relocate in Los Angeles to take the part. The first film she appeared in was Johnny Mnemonic. She did all the stunts of the film and helped establish her as an athletic as well as an actress. Her agent was Matt LeBlanc, so through her agent for talent, she was able to get a regular part on Friends.
